Oh Leigha, my dear sweet, big sister, I must say first of all that that is a most wonderful idea! So, as it goes, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! :) And might I throw in a bit of a curve, in that if one of us forgets to post, then by default, the other sister shall win! Kind of stinks though, I did a pretty good deal today, lol. But that's alright! Tomorrow is another day. And as far as Leigha's ideas go, YES< BE AFRAID! They can get crazy crazy crazy, lol!!!!!! Alright, well, I must now scower the net for all my saving coming up. Happy Shopping! :)
I have decided I am going to try to make a post for every day in September! This may get a bit tricky as I am planning a weeks vacation beach side in mid September, however just because I am on vacation does not mean the couponing stops! So this is my plan. Every day starting tomorrow I am going to post if I go to the store and what I buy and how much I spend. This will give everyone an idea of what kinds of deals are out there. I am a full time mommy that does virtual school with my children and I work from home.  I am a busy person but I manage to make it work, most of the time.  I do not always do a huge store run sometimes I will simply go for a few deals and that's it. So this is going to be interesting for me as well to see how this works out. The days I do not go to the store I am planning to still post something weather it is a deal I have heard of or maybe a cool recipe I am trying or hey maybe you want to know what new idea pops in my head that day. Be afraid, be very afraid of my new ideas! As I am sure my sister would agree those can get out of control fast lol.
Maybe I should challenge my sister, Alicia to try the same and at the end of the month we should compare totals to see who is the couponing queen of the month! Yes, Alicia, challenge set........ :)
To whom ever reads this feel free to comment so that she will know that we want to see a challenge here! Come on ya know you want to!

This is a pic of one of my biggest hauls to date. What can I say I got bit by the extreme couponer this week. :) I bought:
  • 80 boxes of assorted post cereal
  • 100 bottles assorted flavors Bertoli pasta sauce
  •  20 6packs of quilted northern toilet paper
  • 10 bottles of Helmans mayo
  • 40 assorted flavor packs of knorr sides
  •  8 6packs of Nestle splash orange and lemon waters
  • 4 right guard deodorants
  • 6 velveeta skillets
  •  12 kraft mac and cheese
  • 2 dial hand soaps
  • 2 10pack bic pencils,
  • 2 10 pack BIC pens
  • 6 Mentos gums in a tube
  • 6 Sundown Vitamin A
  • 6 Sundown Vitamin D
All of this for a total of about $21.00 While there is a lot of random stuff here it is useful. It is not likely that you will have weeks where you are able to stock up on all things at once. One week may be pasta sauce, the next may be pasta. The point is to stock up when the price is good and sooner or later it will all even out.

Now when I say stock up do I mean RUN don't walk and clear the shelves of all stores selling that sale product? NO! This is not what I mean at all. What I mean is when it is at a great price, also refered to as a stock up price, get as many as you have coupons for or feel that you would need. Even if something is free and you just don't like it then you do not need to bother with it. Of course always keep in mind when couponing it is a great feeling to be able to donate to and help others  that could use the items. For instance my family will not use all of what is pictured. I got all of them because they were great deals and I knew I would be able to donate to others. Since this trip I have already given away over half. So when you think about it for 35.00 not only was I able to provide for my family, I was able to help other family, friends, and even strangers. Women's shelters, soup kitchens, churches, animal shelters and many other non profits welcome these types of donations.

Ok, I'll say it, I'm addicted. Addicted to savings, and addicted to coupons. And so is my sister, and she will fully admit it. But hey, there are worse things we could be addicted to, right? :) I love that rush of walking into a store with my big binder of coupons, seeing everyone's faces, hearing the comments of "oh I wish I could do that" and "I wish I had time". And the thrill of getting FREE stuff, and walking out with a cart load of stuff and paying little to nothing, or even having the store PAY YOU to take it out! That's the greatest! Well you CAN do it, and you CAN have time. It really is easier than people think. Follow us through our adventures of real life couponing, with kids and husbands and all. And hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we do, and get your own stock pile going! :)

Get to know us :)

If you are here it has to be because you are interested in saving money. Well so are we. We are 2 sister's that have different situations but we both started couponing out of necessity but quickly grew to love it. It really can be very addicting and fun. My name is Leigha, my sister's name is, Alicia. She lives in Mississippi, I live in Florida. There's a lot of differences between the two areas so it can be very helpful when one of us finds a great deal and shares with the other one. For a while now we have talked every day and always the topic about coupons comes up some how. Having began doing this for a few years now we decided that it would be fun to keep a record of what we spend and get each week to see what we really save. We also thought it would be great if we could help others at the same time, and 2 Sister's Wicked Savings, was born! Hope you all have as much fun watching and reading as we do making this. Please leave comments And feel free to ask questions! :)
