Ok so today is day 1 of my challenge to post every day for the month and challenge to my sister to do it as well! :) Her post by far wins the prize for the day, if you have not read it, you should! Well finish mine first, then go to hers ;)
Today was not a couponing day for me. Today I spent a very lazy morning trying to motivate myself to get up. Once I did and the kiddos were up and settled in of course playing Minecraft, it was time to sit down to check my FaceBook. I am a part of a few different coupon groups and I check in several times a day to see if there is anything I missed or even to help out someone. I must say I did get a lot of ideas of things to go over just looking at some questions and comments others have put up, but those are for another day.
I looked through what the sales are since today is Sunday and that does mean some new things, I started to put a list together of some things that I wanted and needed, and still tried to motivate myself enough to get out. The hubby said he needed to go pick something up so I figured I would go along and make a small stop by Walmart on the way home for a few things and put the rest off for another day.
As we all know things do not always turn out the way we expect. It started to rain and it looked very nasty outside, having 2 kids and already feeling a bit lazy I knew Walmart was not going to happen today. Instead I made the decision to go to Aldi's to get the few things that we needed to grab. For those that do not know what Aldi is, it is a store that is very simple. It is a grocery store but instead of everything all pretty like Publix it has it's items stacked up in boxes, has only a couple of cashiers at a time, you bag your own items and things are normally a fair amount cheaper than even Walmart.The one big issue I have with them is that they do not take ANY coupons at all! But I made the choice to go there for a quick in and out and still pay a decent price.
So even though I am not thrilled with my shopping trip today I am following the rules of putting out each thing I buy to show the end of the month savings and spent. So today this is what I bought:
