Where to find printable coupons?

Gooooooodddddd Morning ladies and gents! :) Pardon me, too much coffee. Today I thought I would talk to ya’ll a little bit about where on the net to find and print coupons at. There are SO many places out there to print them from. But just doing a simple search of “Printable Coupons” could yield you about 1000 different pages, and realistically only about 20 would have legit coupons. So, I figured I would share with you several good website that I visit to print out the coupons that I need. If Leigha has different ones (and I’m sure she does :P ) she will probably let ya’ll know also. So, here are some good links…
http://www.coupons.com/      This is just a basic coupon site, however, if you are a member of MyPoints, you can get point for going thru them to coupons.com and printing and redeeming you coupons!
http://www.commonkindness.com/     I like this site, because when you sign up, you pick an organization, and the coupons that you print out and redeem will help donate to that organization!
http://smartsource.com/
http://icouponalerts.com/red-plum/       These two, smartsource and redplumm are both good databases for coupons
http://thekrazycouponlady.com/print-coupons/       This is by far my most favorite place to find coupons! And it is so neat and orderly! Love it! Most of the time, I will have this page up when I am looking thru the sales papers, and if I think I find a good deal on something I will search this page to find a coupon to make it an even better deal!
www.facebook.com     You can find a ton of great coupons here! Just go to your favorite brands web page, and most of them will have coupons you can print out!
Keep in mind when printing your coupons, the databases only let you print out 2 of the same coupon per computer. However, if you have more that one computer, then you can print two of the same coupon PER COMPUTER! Happy Shopping!!! :)

I figured I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone tonight. I figured I would go and grab the last few deals before the stores reset deals tomorrow and Thursday. And since I had to take my son to karate anyway seemed like a great time.
Dropped Tyler off at karate and did my motherly duty of embarrassing him by giving him that mommy kiss, and "I love you." that makes him wipe his face, turn red, and say, "Mom!"
Now I was off to Walmart, I had almost an hour before I had to be back to pick Tyler up. I was able to get through there in pretty good time. I was unable to get some things as they were out but still managed to get most of what I needed. As I was dragging the hubby, Bobby, and daughter, Kaley with me we loaded the truck and were making great time! I still had enough time to go by the next 2 stores before I had to pick up Ty! We went to back out when Bobby noticed the woman behind us looked a bit distressed. She was breathing very hard and leaning over the cart, she also had 3 little kids in tow. Before he had time to open his door to see if she was ok, she fainted! He ran over to help and I get on the phone with 911, Kaley was staying pretty cool and making sure to keep an eye on the kids and report to me if they are ok. Yes, she is my little mommy :) In the end, the woman got taken to the hospital and I am hoping she made a full and speedy recovery. Here in the Florida heat and being stressed can easily make a bad situation. She did re gain conciseness shortly after fainting and was talking and sitting up. I had to call the karate instructor to let them know we would be late and of course it was no trouble. They let him stay for the next class and help out. (he is a red/black belt) His instructors are wonderful! I did not have time to go to all the stores I had wanted to but that was ok. The situation that came up was more important.
I did manage to get to Publix while my husband went in to get Tyler from karate. Publix is right next door. That works out great!
Ok so this was not my best trip but I was happy with it.  What I walked away with:

DIY laundry and dish washing soap!

No shopping for me today. At home with a daughter with a tummy ache :( Good time to catch up on things that we are running low on.

With four of us at home doing work and school, we go through a lot of dishes quickly! I simply do not have the time (or want) to stand in the kitchen all day to keep up with the dishes we go through. I LOVE my dishwasher! No it is nothing fancy, but it does work for me, freeing up some of my time to do other things, like clean other parts of the house, clip coupons, and most importantly, spend time with my family. :)

Of course dish washing soap is not the thing that goes quickly in my home. Any one with kids knows that they go through a lot of clothes and they are usually pretty rough on them. This house is no exception. My son who I believe tries to find every bit of dirt in the neighborhood and magnetize himself to it, then my daughter who simply can not wear an outfit for more than an hour keep my pretty busy washing clothes.

Yes I coupon, and yes I get coupons on laundry soaps and dish washer soap but not all the time. Basically now if it is not free or right next to free I don't worry about getting it because I can make it for much cheaper and it does just as good of a job, maybe even better.

So I am sure now you are asking yourself, "How does she do it?"
Well it is not as hard as it sounds. And it is even a little fun. At least I think it is. You can have what ever scent you like, and it does not have all the harsh chemicals as the normal cleansers do. There are a lot of different ways to make your own dish and laundry soap, I have tried several different ways. The way that I like the best is a liquid laundry and a powder dish washer soap. And now I can just hear you, you want the recipes don't you? Well of course! If you are awesome enough to be reading this then you are awesome enough to know my (not so) super secret recipes.

Liquid Laundry Soap

  • 1 Cup Borax
  • 1 Cup Washing Soda
  • 1/2 Cup Dawn (Or any) liquid dish washing soap
  • 1/2 Cup any scent shampoo OR body wash

Mix all ingredients in a pitcher, pour in 4 Cups of hot water, stir till dissolved.  Once it is dissolved pour the mixture into a larger jug, I use an old laundry soap jug that is 175 OZ. Then fill that with water. Let set over night. It may gel a bit but that is normal. Just give it a shake or two and use like normal laundry soap. Much more cost effective! And since I get shampoo, body wash, and dish washing soap for extremely cheap, (THANK YOU COUPONS!) this makes for a great value and a great soap! It holds up to my kids!

Powder Dishwasher Soap

  • 1/2 Cup Borax
  • 1/2 Cup Washing Soda
  • 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Citric Acid  ~OR~ 5 of the small packets of sugar free lemonade. (I use the packets and it works great!)
Mix all in a small air tight jar. I use an old pickle jar! Don't you love recycling? By the way, the pickles were free with coupons! Just saying :) Use about a tsp. I have heard others use a few drops of dish soap on top as well, I do not do that but if you want to it would not hurt anything. I do use vinegar in the rinse cycle to keep a film from forming.

But that is it. Sounds easy huh? Now go make your own! Set yourself free from those high priced brands. Make your own brand :) Have fun with it. Remember where ever you can save money without compromising quality it is a good thing!

If you make your own I would love to hear about it! Or if you have any questions feel free to ask.. :)

FREE WATER!

Good morning ladies and gentleman! I just wanted to drop a quick note and let ya’ll know about a great deal I found. If you go to the Evamor water Facebook page found here- https://www.facebook.com/EvamorWater/app_160430850678443 and like their page, you can print out two coupons. One is for BOGOF on 32 oz bottle, and the other is a FREE 20 oz bottle of Evamore! And remember you can print 2 coupons per computer, so that would be 4 FREE bottles of water, when you purchase 2! AMAZING!!!! :) Happy SHopping. :)

Convenience shopping without coupons makes me sad :(

Ok so today is day 1 of my challenge to post every day for the month and challenge to my sister to do it as well! :) Her post by far wins the prize for the day, if you have not read it, you should! Well finish mine first, then go to hers ;)

Today was not a couponing day for me. Today I spent a very lazy morning trying to motivate myself to get up. Once I did and the kiddos were up and settled in of course playing Minecraft, it was time to sit down to check my FaceBook. I am a part of a few different coupon groups and I check in several times a day to see if there is anything I missed or even to help out someone. I must say I did get a lot of ideas of things to go over just looking at some questions and comments others have put up, but those are for another day.

I looked through what the sales are since today is Sunday and that does mean some new things, I started to put a list together of some things that I wanted and needed, and still tried to motivate myself enough to get out. The hubby said he needed to go pick something up so I figured I would go along and make a small stop by Walmart on the way home for a few things and put the rest off for another day.

As we all know things do not always turn out the way we expect. It started to rain and it looked very nasty outside, having 2 kids and already feeling a bit lazy I knew Walmart was not going to happen today. Instead I made the decision to go to Aldi's to get the few things that we needed to grab. For those that do not know what Aldi is, it is a store that is very simple. It is a grocery store but instead of everything all pretty like Publix it has it's items stacked up in boxes, has only a couple of cashiers at a time, you bag your own items and things are normally a fair amount cheaper than even Walmart. The one big issue I have with them is that they do not take ANY coupons at all! But I made the choice to go there for a quick in and out and still pay a decent price.

So even though I am not thrilled with my shopping trip today I am following the rules of putting out each thing I buy to show the end of the month savings and spent. So today this is what I bought:

QTY          Item                       Price     Total
1               2%Milk                   2.99       2.99

2            Shredded Cheese        2.99       5.98

2              Taco Spice                   35         .70
1              Flour Tortilla              1.99        1.99

How it all begins

Good morning my fellow coupon-a-holics! :) I want to talk a little bit about how to get stated couponing. That is the biggest question people ask when they see me walking around a store with my big binder full of goodies. "How do you get started". I'm sure my sister Leigha can agree to that. And its really very simple. First thing you will need is organization. That really is the key. Without it, coupons will be EVERYWHERE. Trust me, I've learned my lesson. :) And nothing is more frustrating than fighting your teething 11 month old for the coupons you left on your desk.
Many people, my sister and myself included, use the binder method. There are a couple different ways that you can organize your binder. And there are other ways to coupon that do not use a binder. I've seen people have something as simple as a mini expandable file that fits in a purse, to just using envelopes, to something as elaborate (and might I say large and bulky) several tubs of uncut inserts filed neatly. It really is just a matter of what you prefer. But since I use the binder, we will peek into that method a little more.
The binder really seems like the easiest way in my opinion. It takes a little bit more organization on Sundays, but you can just grab and go, and if you find that one item on clearance you will have your coupons right there with you, so you never miss a sale. This method does have a little bit of a start up cost, but I think it is worth it. This is what I used to start up. Again, you can use whatever means you need, or whatever method you would like, just as long as you are saving money! :)
*a durable 2 in binder ( I recently upgraded during the school sale to a 3 in, zip binder with a handle and straps. I treated myself! :) It even has an expandable file in the front. AWESOME!)
*baseball card holders-you can buy these at Walmart in the section they have by the registers where all the trading cards are at, for roughly 5.00)
*scissors (or a cutter like I plan to get for Christmas. This is good if you get more than a couple inserts, you can cut more than one coupon at a time. Just make sure you keep them lined up!)
*pens
*notebook for writing all your lists down, and jotting notes
*dividers (I had a divider with a pocket up front so when I snag those coupons walking through the store I had somewhere to put them so I wouldn't loose them until I could get them in my binder)
And that's pretty much it. You can go as fancy or as simple as your little heart desires. Add more or less to suit your needs. It's YOUR binder. Now, the next thing you will need is...COUPONS!!! "Where do you get all your coupons" is my second most asked question. And my answer usually is everywhere. I subscribe to my local newspaper, and get one paper delivered a week. No, that's not all I get. :) I get my paper early in the morning, and I take a look through and that will give me an idea of about how many more newspapers I want to get. Usually, my sister in law will drop off about 5 more papers, at the least. An even number of papers is a good idea. So you will have plenty for BOGO's (Buy One Get One). That and I don't like uneven numbers. Must run in the family. ;)
You can also get coupons from the internet. There are so many sites that you can print coupons off of. I will post a few websites a little later to help you with that. You can also go to your favorite brands webpage or Facebook page, and I bet you will find coupons to print out, or that they will send you! That's a great way. However, most coupons you print out, only lets you do a maximum of 2 prints PER COMPUTER. I only have one computer right now, so I can only print out 2 until they reset, but if you have more than one computer (Leigha :), than print and print and print! Now, when I first started, I went a little print crazy. And let me tell you, that was a waste. I didn't match any sales or anything, I just saw coupons and started printing. DON'T DO THAT! You will just waste ink, paper, and your time. Wait until you can match it with a sale, or you really need it or what not.
Another way you can get coupons is by ordering them, either by whole inserts, or just clipped coupons. I have learned recently to really like this idea. This is a way to get 25 or however many you think you need, of one coupon, rather than buying 25 newspapers. There are many different sites that you can order from, and I will post a few links for those as well.
You can also get your coupons from swapping other couponers, or maybe there is a basket at your local library, or church that you can swop coupons, or you can even start one! You can get coupons from stores. Those little blinky machines that spit out coupons at you are a great way! Sometimes they are high dollar coupons for new products. USE THEM!!! Take a couple coupons. That is what they are there for. And look on a lot of products. You will see what is called peelies, because, you peel them right off the product. :) There are so many ways to get your coupons. Just look around and keep your eyes open!
Alright, so after you have gathered all your materials, and have your coupons, what's next? Let me go through the motion (so to speak) and show you what I do on Sunday night. I gather my supplies and coupons, (and usually my sister in law and niece) and we sit at the kitchen table. We separate all the coupons, and pull them apart and lay all the same pages on top of each other. That way, when you grab a stack of coupons, they are all they exact same ones. I put a few together and staple them, then clip. It takes less time for me. However, my sister in law can't cut a straight line, so she does one at a time. What ever way is easier for you! Then, when you have all of the same coupon cut, put it straight into your binder. It saves time, and you wont have stack of coupons everywhere. It's that easy! :)
Now, you can organize your book however you would like. I have 4 main categories, and within those categories, separated and labeled by dividers, I have subcategories. I mark those with little post it flags and numbers. My 4 main categories are Food, Household, Personal, and Pet. Now within those, such as pet, I have Cat, and Dog. My Food, I have subcategories such as Baking, Breads, Candy, Cereal, Frozen, Meats, Produce, Sides, Snacks, ect. I have others, but you can see how it's done. And yes, I do alphabetize. :) Teeny tiny OCD.
And that's it!!!! :) Once more, do your binder, or whatever method that works best for you! If you can't stick with it, you will not stay organized. Organization is the key!!!! Now, go get clipping and organizing and SAVING!!!! Let's see how you do. Drop us a comment if you have any questions! HAPPY SHOPPING!!!! :)
